How It Works
Book your scan.
You can easily book your private X-Ray scan online, or by calling our friendly team during opening hours. We often have same and next-day appointments available.
Get confirmation.
After booking, one of our team will get in touch to go through a questionnaire to ensure an X-Ray is safe for you. A referral from your GP or consultant is required.
Attend your scan.
Arrive 10 minutes before your scan, register at reception, and complete any pre-appointment checks. Your X-Ray will then typically take up to 10 minutes.
Get your scan results.
Your X-Ray results will be sent to you and your chosen medical practitioner within 48 hours, so you can create a personalised plan of your next steps.

You can usually eat, drink, and take medication as normal before an X-Ray, unless your scan requires a contrast agent to create images.
Prior to your X-Ray, always follow any specific instructions given by your healthcare provider.
Please arrive at our clinic around 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to check in and relax in our comfortable reception area.
Before your scan, our radiologist will ask you to take off any jewellery and empty your pockets (wallet, keys, and mobile phone), and you may be asked to change into a provided examination gown. You will be provided with a locker to securely store your valuables.
During the scan, you will be asked to either lie down or remain standing, depending on the type of X-Ray you are getting. It is important to remain as still as possible to ensure clear images.
You can bring a friend or family member to your X-Ray scan, but they will need to wait for you in our reception area.
An X-Ray typically takes up to 10 minutes.
Although X-Rays use a small amount of radiation, they are generally considered a very safe procedure. Side effects and complications are rare. Your referrer will assess the risks and discuss any concerns with you before offering you an X-Ray.
Always inform your referrer and Radiographer about any health concerns prior to your X-Ray.
After your X-Ray, you can usually resume your normal activities right away. If contrast material was used, your referrer may provide specific aftercare instructions.
The images from your X-Ray scan will be reviewed by a radiologist, who will prepare a report for you and your referrer. This is usually completed within 48 hours.
After receiving our report, your referrer will review the findings and discuss the results with you.
